On Tuesday, Israeli president Ehud Barak and Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat are scheduled to start another round of peace talks at Camp David, Maryland. Host Jacki Lyden speaks to former Israeli journalist, and Washington Institute for Near East Policy fellow David Makovsky, about why these talks may be the last chance for peace in the region.
Working Across the Ocean

Reunion
All Things Considered staff member Debra Schifrin talks about her recent 10 year high school reunion in the San Francisco Bay area. Having lived on the East Coast for six years, she was shocked at how the incredible wealth that has flooded Silicon Valley has affected her high school class. And she was surprised at her own reaction to all the talk about money.
Ananda Shankar

Johnny Cash Continued
JOHNNY CASH CONTINUED.Earlier this week, HAROLD NICOLAS, the younger member of the famous tap-dancing duo, The Nicholas Brothers, died in Manhattan. The Nicholas Brothers danced in vaudeville, on Broadway, in night clubs and on TV, but may be best known for their appearances in movie musicals of the 1930s and 40s. We'll listen back to a 1985 interview with NICOLAS. The next installment of the Harry Potter series comes out tomorrow. Pentagon Anti-Missile Tests
The Pentagon conducted a test of an anti-missile system last night. It failed. NPR's Steve Inskeep reports.
Faster Fast Food
Scott Horsley of member station KPBS reports on an attempt to make fast food even faster. Companies such as McDonalds, Burger King and Wendy's are turning to technology to increase the efficiency of their drive-thru windows, which now account for two-thirds of their business.
KY Gun Auctions
Police in Kentucky are reluctantly preparing to auction off all firearms they've confiscated, in accordance with a new law that goes into effect this week. Proceeds from the sales will be used to buy bullet-proof vests for police officers. Many police believe guns used in crimes should be destroyed, not recirculated. NPR's Adam Hochberg reports.
The Supreme Court
In the first of two reports on the current Supreme Court, NPR's Nina Totenberg reports on the Justices' increased propensity to strike down federal laws. This past term, the Supreme Court issued numerous rulings that affected the other two branches of the federal government. It struck down several major federal laws and invalidated the FDA's attempt to regulate tobacco as a drug. Some legal scholars see this as a return to earlier periods in the Court's history, when it more aggressively scrutinized federal laws and policies.
13th International AIDS Conference
From Durban, South Africa, NPR's Richard Knox reports on the opening of the Thirteenth International AIDS Conference. The early discord at the conference centers on how to distribute anti-AIDS drugs in the economically weak African countries with millions of HIV-infected citizens.
