The American Storyteller is a 4 minute program that introduces listeners to the unique comical and sometimes serious world of Nelson Lauver. Nelson tells of the stories that he has heard over the years from the people he has encountered as well as from his own personal experiences.
There is no religious or political bend to the collection -- just the America Lauver sees as he looks through his own little slice of broken Coke bottle.
Nelson Lauver learned to read and write at the age of 29 after finally receiving a diagnosis of Dyslexia. In his quest to improve his writing he purchased a word processor and slowly started to hunt and peck the keys, just for practice. Those practice stories and Lauver's voice would eventually come together to create The American Storyteller Radio Journal.
